IPN and Gemini Medical
IPN has acquired Gemini Medical
– Providing occupational health services nationwide
The Directors of Gemini Administration Services are pleased to announce that agreement has been reached for Independent Practitioners Network (IPN) to assume full ownership of the company.
Gemini Medical’s directors and shareholders are unanimous in approving this change of ownership and are enthusiastic in their support for the takeover of the company by IPN.
IPN is the second largest operator of medical centres in Australia, facilitating quality general practice for approximately 4 million Australian consultations per year.
IPN’s network of more than 95 medical practices is situated throughout Australia and maintains the expertise of over 700 doctors.
Gemini Medical is a leading medical services provider with its main operations based in Western Australia. With over 100 doctors operating from 40 clinics the Gemini Medical group is able to provide general practice and occupational health services to corporate, government and private clients.
Gemini Medical’s Managing Director Dr Timothy Haggett said: “There is compelling business logic in bringing the two companies together backed by a shared set of values and philosophy. For Gemini and its staff there will be great advantages and opportunities in having a stable and well resourced parent company that shares both Gemini’s vision for the future and ambitious growth plans.”
‘The major benefit our clients can anticipate is that by combining Gemini Medical’s occupational health expertise with IPN’s network of centres we will create a national network of occupational services not offered by any other provider’.
Gemini Medical’s current management team will continue to work with the company into the future and the name and brand for Gemini will remain.
Dr Haggett will continue to lead Gemini’s operations whilst working closely with IPN Managing Director, Dr Malcolm Parmenter.
