What will happen in my medical assessment?

Your Gemini Medical Pre Employment medical assessment (also known as Gemini pre placement medical assessment) will consist of the following:

  • You will be asked to complete a patient history and consent form

This involves providing detailed information about any medical conditions or symptoms you may have suffered from, or currently be suffering from.

You will also be asked information about any medications you may have taken, as well as if you have ever been hospitalised.

There will also be questions regarding your lifestyle, which also includes providing information about your previous, current and prospective employment roles.

The information you give is confidential, which is why we ask you sign a Gemini Medical Consent Form. This allows the doctor who is conducting your assessment to release the results to Gemini Medical and your prospective employer.

All of this information assists the doctor who will be examining you to gather the most complete and correct information on you and your circumstances. This ensures that the outcome of your assessment is as fair and accurate as possible.

  • You will undergo a complete physical examination with a Doctor

This portion of the medical assessment will require you to dress down to your underwear ( a gown may be requested ). The doctor will also use the information you have provided in your patient history to conduct the examination.

For more information on the physical examination, please click here .

  • Additional services

There may be additional services required to complete your pre employment medical assessment. These services will be requested by your prospective employer, and may include a selection of the following:

Hearing Assessment (Compliant or Non-compliant audiogram)
    Lung function testing (Spirometry)
    Blood pathology
    ECG (Electrocardiogram)
    Drug & Alcohol Screening
    Pre Placement Vaccinations
    Musculoskeletal Assessment
    VO2 sub-Max Fitness Test
