Dr Tony Hochberg -
Medical Director of Occupational health

Through his previous work in corporate and occupational medicine, Dr Hochberg brings more than 20 years of medical and leadership experience to the role, having consulted for major international corporations including Telecom New Zealand, Rio Tinto and Air New Zealand.

Dr Hochberg also holds appointments as an Associate Professor in Aviation Medicine and Occupational Medicine at Edith Cowan University, Curtin University and New Zealand’s Otago University.

Dr Hochberg has a special interest in the aviation, mining, construction and processing industries while continuing to work in many other industries, both nationally and internationally.

Specialist services include:

• Biological monitoring and health surveillance programmes;
• Metal toxicological advice;
• Worker’s compensation and motor vehicle detailed disability assessments;
• Percentage permanent disabilty assessments for superannuation and salary continuance;

Risk Assessment

This is an important process for conducting good business and assists in evaluating daily workplace hazards; identifying options for managing the risk; formalising the process and looks at how best to monitor and review.  The workplace employee health and safety risks should be consistently assessed. Risk assessment will provide improved organisational efficiency and effectiveness towards an optional use of business resources.
