Medical Receptionist / Dispensary Assistant - Flinders Island

Gemini Medical is a leader in quality and innovation supporting over 35 medical centres across Australia. Gemini Medical is seeking a part time Medical Receptionist/dispensary assistant to work at the front desk delivering superior service to our doctors, clients and patients.

The dedicated team at Flinders Island provides exceptional service to the Flinders Island community, and surrounding areas, in the areas of Family Medicine, dispensary, minor surgery and chronic disease management.

As Medical Receptionist / Dispensary Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

- General clerical duties
- Providing assistance to patients
- Managing patient bookings
- Dispensary duties as directed by the doctor
- Answering telephones and emails
- Dispensary and general practice ordering
- Aged Debtor management
- Filing and scanning
- Patient billing
- Patient records management
- Medicare and Veteran Affairs billing
- Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme [PBS] claim management

Experience & Skills Required

A high degree of confidentiality is essential in this role. Previous Medical Administration and dispensary exp not essential; however previous office and computer exp will be advantageous.

You should also have the ability to operate as part of a multidisciplinary team. Training will be given to suitable candidates.
